Draw
Many different meanings for poker is said to be the draw. The most common use of the word is when you "draw" cards in the game and you can be "drawing" on a straight which means you need to draw a card to complete your straight.
Edge
An advantage that a player holds over an opponent, or the advantage the casino has over you.
Even Money Bet
A wager that pays players even money means that the bet pays 1:1.
Face Card
The three cards that have a face on them, Jacks, Queens and Kings.
Full House
A five card poker hand consisting of three of a kind and a pair.
Hand
The cards that you are dealt in a particular game become your hand.
Hard way Bet
Betting on the hard ways in craps means you place a bet for the dice to be thrown with matching faces to total four, six, eight or ten. There are 4 ways this can happen, by throwing a pair of twos, threes, fours or fives.
High Roller
A player that wagers a significant amount of money in the casino.
Hole Card
This is the card that is dealt face down to the dealer in Blackjack.
Hot
A player who is on a winning streak is considered to be "hot".
House Edge
This is the advantage that the casino has over players on each game.
Inside Bets

Insurance
A bet that is offered in Blackjack that allows a player to receive a payout of 1:1 on blackjack, before the player checks to determine if they have blackjack or not.

Kicker

Loose

Martingale

Maximum Bet
The most you can bet on any one hand, or on a particular bet.
Natural
Generally used in Baccarat when the dealer or player is dealt a total of 8 or 9. Also used in Blackjack when the player receives a blackjack with suited jack and ace of spades.
Net Winnings
The total winnings after you take out the amount of money you risked.
Payline
The line that indicates where the reels must stop for a player to win on a slot machine.
Payout
The amount a player is paid out, or the odds that are offered on a specific payout.
Point
In craps, the point is the first number that is rolled in which is the player must roll again before the number 7 appears.
Pressing
To add to your previous wager, often used in Craps for players that are wagering place bets.
Progressive
A progressive is a slot machine or table game with a large progressive jackpot. The jackpot increases as the machine or game is played.
Push
A tie hand.
Quads
Four of a kind, often used in poker.
Session
Time spent at the table or playing.
Shark
A very skilled player.
Shoe
The shoe is what holds the cards, and where the cards are dealt from in games that use more than two decks. It is usually a plastic box that is placed on the table.
Snake Eyes
In the game of Craps, when the number one shows up on each dice for a total of two is called snake eyes.
Soft Hand
A hand in blackjack that contains at least one ace, and has two possible totals; neither of which exceed 21.
Surrender
To forfeit half of your bet to protect your bankroll from further losses.
Trips
Three cards ranked the same, three of a kind.
VIP
Same as a whale, very important and loyal person to the casino.
Wager
The money you bet.
